Treasure Island
Jim Hawkins lives and works at the Admiral Benbow Inn with his mother but he dreams of going on adventures across the seven seas. One day an old sailor, Billy Bones, lodges at the inn and tells Jim to beware of a seafaring man with one leg... After being cursed with the black spot, Billy dies and leaves Jim with a treasure map that leads to the infamous Captain Flint's hidden treasure. A motley crew of buccaneers board the Hispaniola and they set sail to a forgotten island, but it's not long before there's a mutiny! X marks the spot but who will get there first? Will Jim Hawkins escape unscathed? Will Long John Silver take home the gold? Will there be cheese?! You'll have to join us to find out!
Suitable for all the family, this is a theatrical adaptation of the novel, 'Treasure Island', by Robert Louis Stevenson. With a mixture of budding young thespians, aged 8-16 years old, and some local professional actors, this production promises to be a spectacular spectacle with lots of community spirit thrown in for good measure. Join us and enjoy an afternoon of theatre right on your doorstep.
