Who We Are

​

"Laugh Out Loud Theatre Company" is a not-for-profit entertainment company based in East Northamptonshire.

​

Established in 2018, we specialise in touring pantomimes, theatre in education shows and murder mystery events.

 

We work alongside town councils, schools, charities and organisations to bring our colourful performances to your local community.

​

Director / Writer

Emma is an actor, writer, director and producer for film and theatre. She has toured the UK in various pantomime and TIE productions as well as in a solo show as the rat catcher ‘Jack Black’ in ‘I’m A Victorian, Get Me Out of Here!’ (Grim Times). She has appeared on film as an actor, writer and producer, and she has worked as a character actor at ‘Chessington World of Adventures’ and ‘The London Bridge Experience’. She was previously assistant director for the Centre of Performing Arts at the University of the West of England, and has facilitated drama workshops for primary, secondary and FE years.

Theatre credits include: Jocasta / Alison in ‘The Canterbury Tales’ (CPA), Kate Green in ‘Safe House’ (Broken Pipe Theatre), Carol Capstick in ‘Over My Dead Body’ (TADS), Ringabell in 'Little Red Riding Hood', Jim Hawkins in ‘Treasure Island’ (Broken Pipe Productions), Aladdin in ‘Aladdin’, Robin Hood in 'Robin Hood', Fairy Godmother / Dandinee in 'Cinderella', Malevolent in 'Sleepy Beauty and Leslie in 'Her Big Chance' (Laugh Out Loud Theatre).

Film credits include: ‘Muppets Most Wanted’ (Disney), ‘Paddington 2’ (Heyday Films and Studio Canal), ‘The Legend of the 5ive’ (Retribution Films), and ‘Dead Love’ (Zombee Video).

Natalie trained at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth, graduating in 2007.

She toured the UK and Ireland for the next four years performing theatre-in-education shows and workshops ranging from anti-bullying to Shakespeare. After putting away her touring suitcase, she has continued performing, both on stage and as a scare actor at 'Thorpe Park Fright Nights' and 'The Howl'. She works closely with several Bedford based theatre companies, and regularly performs in 'StageWrite', an annual new writing festival. She can also be spotted in several music videos and award winning short films. She was a dancer in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, and danced at the FA Cup Final 2016 alongside Tinie Tempah. She also teaches drama and singing, and several of her students have gone on to study at prestigious performing arts schools across the UK.

Theatre credits include Mrs Kranky in 'George's Marvellous Medicine', Hero in 'Much Ado About Nothing', Leslie in 'Her Big Chance' (UK & USA), Lana in 'Intercourse', Mother in 'The Railway Children', Counsellor in 'Hot Thoughts', Ranger Rita in 'Ranger Rita's Animal Adventure', Maid Marian in 'Robin Hood', Cinderella in 'Cinderella', Aurora in 'Sleeping Beauty' and Abanazar in 'Aladdin.

Writing and directing credits include adaptations of 'Oliver Twist', 'Peter Pan', 'Cinderella', 'Beauty and the Beast', 'Treasure Island', 'The Wind in the Willows', 'Robin Hood', 'Holmes', 'The Witching Hour', 'The Elves and the Shoemaker' and 'The Brothers Grimm' as well as original works including 'The Grey Lady', 'SHE', and 'Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye'.
